Samsung Z Flip 4 Features

Samsung ships the Z Flip 4 with the Android 12-based One UI 4.1.1. It includes 5G support and other staple features, like NFC, Samsung Pay, IPX8 water resistance (5 feet of fresh water for up to 30 minutes), and stereo speakers. FlexCam provides a hands-free shooting experience. Use the bottom half of the phone as a stand or grip it to take selfies. The Cover Screen is customizable, so you can dress it up however you wish, with videos, photos, emojis, and more to personalize the clock face. This smaller screen also provides access to Quick Settings, so you can reply to texts and add widgets for quick access to your favorite apps without ever opening the Main Screen.

Samsung Z Flip 4 Specs and Hardware

The Galaxy Z Flip is defined by its clamshell foldable design. It’s what’s made the Flip 3 the most successful folding phone on the market, so that isn’t changing. However, the hinge is thinner to help with the device’s overall weight, and the display crease won’t be as noticeable. The crease is what you see and feel when the phone is unfolded. It runs horizontally across the screen, so any reduction is an improvement over the Flip 3. Compared to the 2021 Flip, this one provides no upgrade to the cover 1.9-inch cover display. We heard early rumors that it’d be bumped to 2.1 inches, but that didn’t turn up true. As for the SoC, it includes the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor. For comparison, the Galaxy S22 runs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, so the Z Flip 4 is more powerful than the 2022 Galaxy S lineup. The battery is a little bigger than the Flip 3 (3300 mAh to 3700 mAh). That, coupled with the power efficiency improvement of the newer SoC, means the battery will take you further on a single charge. 25W fast charging is supported instead of 15W. The unfolded screen is remaining at 6.7 inches, the cameras aren’t changing compared to last year’s phone (though, improvements are assumed to arrive via software upgrades), and they’re sticking to the same 8 GB of memory. The same internal storage options are available, but this time a 512 GB variation is offered, too. For months before the release, we saw conflicting reports on the color options. You can choose from four colors. Below are the specs for the Flip 4. Check out Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 page for more information on the phone.
